The article presents the theoretical and practical aspect of the implementation of design technology in relation to the process of building a mentoring system for the organization of «horizontal training» of teachers aimed at their professional development. The characteristic features and principles of «horizontal training» of teachers (model of training in the P2P system) in the context of the federal project «Teacher of the Future» are considered.
