Образовательная методика «Инженерный проект SHUKHOV RACING TEAM»

Abstract

The article presents an educational method of training engineers. Project participants solve design, technological, and economic problems as part of a team that takes part in international student competitions «FORMULA STUDENT». The purpose of the competition is to develop engineering thinking among students and to train specialists who are ready to solve real technical problems. The result of the implementation of this technique is to obtain competencies for project activities as part of a team of performers in solving problems of any complexity «from the idea to the finished product» in a limited period of implementation. In BSTU. V. G. Shukhova this technique has been implemented since 2015. Over the past period, more than 250 students took part in the project work, 8 existing racing cars were designed and manufactured, methods and tools for working with composite materials, additive technologies, programming, production preparation, and the use of a digital environment for calculations, tests and visualization of technical objects were mastered.
