Abstract

The all-Russian engineering competition is one of the most promising methods for the development of engineering personnel potential in Russia, since it allows not only to identify the most talented and popular projects by the employer, but also to evaluate the effectiveness of higher education institutions in training engineering personnel. The article identifies problem areas for training engineers, suggests ways to eliminate them, describes the rating system for evaluating universities based on the results of participation in the competition, and names points of growth in the methodology for training engineers.
